good bye, January

Fresh new snow, 

just in time for January to make a lovely exit.  

I am looking forward to changing the calendar pages, longer days, the color red, and February~the month of Love!

And I love blue skies in winter, 

it makes for such a beautiful backdrop to the long hoarhair frost

sometimes, hidden within the change, and quiet until just the right moment, I can feel the excitment to start over. 

and with that comes the potential for greatness.

Winter White

Today was the softest, lightest snowfall all day.  Each flake was big, fluffy, and beautiful.

The trees are so quiet in a snowfall, one of my favorite times for snowshoeing.
